Introduced in 1932, the supercharged Model J was offered at 320 horses a top speed of 129 mph. The engine was one of Duesenberg’s, and America’s, as Fred Duesenberg used developments from his work on Indianapolis cars. It included engine the refinements of four valves per cylinder and twin camshafts. The engine was far more powerful than any passenger car unit built in America to date.
