1936 Auburn 852

1936 Auburn 852 II

The Auburn Automotive Company grew out of the Eckhart Carriage Company, founded in Auburn, IN in 1874 by Charles Eckhart.

The depression coupled with other factors, spelled the end of the company and production ceased in 1937.

The previous owner bought this car in pieces 30 years ago and put them on shelves in a garage. It was not assembled until purchased by the current owner in 2007 and this is the first time it has been on display in over 30 years.

Taken at the Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance & Motoring Festival.

You may purchase a print in our dElegance 2015 online gallery.
