1936 Auburn 852 Speedster

Purchased by the current owner’s father in 1962 and then bought from him in 1972, this car has been in the same family for the last 52 years.

This vehicle was painted black for many years until during a restoration it was discovered the original factory color was the red displayed here. The car was also restored with the original factory spoke wheels and stainless steel welting. A plaque on the dashboard certifies that Race Driver Ab Jenkins gallery.adamsviews.net/artofsteel2015/ drove this car excess of 100 mph prior to shipment.

Many consider this as Gordon M. Buehrig’s Automotive Design Masterpiece.

Taken at the Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance & Motoring Festival.
