Port Bolivar is an unincorporated community located in the Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston County, Texas and is actually part of the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area.
This was taken at the north end of the Island like peninsula where the only way out is by ferry across the bay to Galveston. As I arrived at the small harbor that hosted shrimp boats, a massive summer thunderstorm was blowing in quickly across the bay, I had to work quick to get the few shots I did! Tons of lightning and a massive wall of water and wind moved into the area minutes after I took this shot.
