1936 Auburn 852 Boattail Speedster

The 852 Speedster with its lightweight coachwork and 150 horsepower engine could top 100mph. Each car was sold with a dash plaque emblazoned with the signature of the great racer Ab Jenkins proclaiming its performance.

This car was originally owned by Commander John Rutherford, who raced it at the Daytona Beach stock car races. The car was driven by Tony Pazillo. It was then sold to Mortimer Auerbach, the owner of the Emancipator Boat Company. Auerbach used the car to tow his racing boats.

In May of 1946, Tom Dickinson, the father of the current owner acquired the vehicle. He was stationed in Key West.
